Have a few hrs on it. Quiet. Runs great. Runs a HD drill fine. No issues right out of the box. Bought it as a backup to run lights in my motorhome so I don't have to use the big gas guzzling coach unit when boondocking. So far it's a impressive little unit. Since it uses little fuel I would recommend the pre mixed canned 50:1 or 40:1 fuel you can get at box stores. This fuel usually is high octane clean fuel with stabalizer.

I really wanted to like this generator. I was hoping to use it for power outages in rural Vermont, to run a few lights and the refrigerator. I got the generator and did a load test and was disappointed. It would barely run a 850W toaster. It usually stalled when I turned the toaster on with no other load applied. If I played with the choke, I could get the engine to transition through the transient of turning on the toaster, but it was a delicate operation of "tuning" the choke to the right place and it needed to be tweaked periodically. This was not when the engine was cold; it was fully warmed up. Even fully hot, the engine would not run under a moderate load without the choke set to "just the right setting". This is not acceptable; I can't be out there fine tuning the choke at all hours as the refrigerator compressor (or worse, the defrost coil) turns on and off. Also, one thing that was a huge deal breaker for me was that once I shut off the 850W load, the engine surged to a very high RPM as it transitioned to an unloaded state. My concern there is other appliances hooked up to the generator will see a very high voltage spike, which can cause damage. That being said, it runs quiet and doesn't use much gas. The downside is having to mix the fuel with oil and keeping the 2 cycle oil on hand. Also, it didn't make much/any smoke once it warmed up, although it did have the 2 cycle exhaust smell. I also found it hard to start, being that there is no primer on the carburetor.Read full review

This generator is great. For the size, power and price it really does do the job you want. States around 6 hrs pr gallon used. I received 7-1/2 hrs per gallon on my trial run. Of course using stabilizer additive. No issues with current or power. I wish it didn't shake AS MUCH. but hell, it doesn't shake to the point it gets annoying. Great product. Would buy multiple ones just to have.

I got it and I went to start it up and it ran but not good even after warming up and wouldn't put out power and I tried putting a lode on it and it would not put any power out unless I would choke the engine to the point where it just about dies and when it comes back to it stats to put out power but not good it flikers lights and only will put out about 100 voltage and it gets really hot and maks weard loud noises from generator head and smells like hot electrical

The 1200 watt Gen. Arrived as described. It takes a higher ratio of oil mix for break in as shown on fuel tank. Added fuel/oil mixture and cranked up fine. I have not had it long enough to comment on long term use but at this point it is exactly as described.
